Greetings to all,
Yes, indeed, the May flowers are in bloom, especially the roses. Have you noticed how prolific they are? My Rosie the Riveter rose is in full bloom, as are all the roses on my street. This reminds me of the saying, “bloom where you are planted”. I am trying to do that daily, but SIP is a challenge for me. How about you? What are you doing to keep busy, productive, and happy? It would be fun to share some of your daily activities via email. You might “plant” some ideas for all of us that would be useful and helpful.
Have you started thinking about how you are going to support the Path-finder fundraiser, which is rescheduled for Sept. 12th? It’s not that far in the future. You can update the flyer, personalize the donation letter, and start selling tickets. Requesting donations, using the donation letter, and organize Christmas decorations we can use at our event.
October is National Womens Leadership Conference. Start making your plans to attend. Have you set up the payment plan or looked into flight arrangements and hotel reservations? Oct. 14 – 17, Westminster, Colo-rado is a beautiful destination for ABWA sisters.
Membership growth is a top priority too. Please invite guests to our meetings. Attending via Zoom is a great way to get to know more about ABWA and our league. Think about stepping up to serve on the board. The organization needs your enthusiasm and participation.
As I said earlier, bloom where you are planted, enjoy the flowers of May and take time to smell the roses. Be safe!
